Today is a short update since I've had no new epiphanies worthy of your time. I figure someone who thinks he's clever every day is someone who is rarely so. And so:
April came and April has gone. I began the month as a lazy asshole but managed to stay on schedule with P90X. I completed the first five days of the routine and, in addition to being really sore, I think I'm seeing some beginner results. My arms seem more pumped. This is a Good thing and I have no intentions of stopping!
Yesterday I finished my first full shift as an emergency room volunteer at Alta View Hospital. I started at 9am and was scheduled to leave at 1pm, but the nurses seemed so sad when the clock struck One that I stayed an extra hour. More importantly I had fun talking with patients, cleaning rooms after patients went home, and running blood and urine samples to the lab. The nursing staff never went to the lab during my shift!
I registered this week for a Health Care Provider CPR/BLS certification course, a step that will hopefully lead to a hospital job. I'm driving to Ogden on Monday to take the class, which should take 3-4 hours.
Game six of the Jazz-Nuggets series was a phenomenal game! Zac took me to Iggy's Sports Grill in Jordan Landing for the game and we had a blast. We're jealous of Shane, who had tickets for him and his son Austin, but at least our food was better. The Jazz now face the center-heavy Lakers in what promises to be a more one-sided fight than Evander Holyfield vs Kevin Federline.
My names are common. Christopher, Jake and Williams in any order will give thousands of search engine results, which is why I am proud to announce that CJakeWilliams.com is listed 2nd on Yahoo and 7th on Google if you search Jake Williams. This little project has become easy to locate even if you forget the exact URL.
Oh and I'm engaged.
Just kidding. Man, your face is so red!
Lastly I'm reading How to Win Friends & Influence People. I found Part Two Chapter Three, a chapter devoted to the importance of remembering names, provides much of the same material as Ageless Memory, which I mentioned in my last post. I conclude that the latter used information from the former, and that the crossover material is actually important for achieving success.
You were there.
